Level 2 Certificate in Health and Care (Pre Access)
During the course, you will study a variety of units, including Communication in Health and Social Care, Person-Centred Approaches, Working in Health and Social Care, Infection Prevention and Control, Protection and Safeguarding, and an Introduction to Learning Disabilities. If needed, you can also gain qualifications in Maths and English. You will explore the range of services provided in health and care, with a significant focus on understanding and applying key care values such as respect, privacy, and dignity. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn about person-centred care, human growth and development, and the importance of teamwork in practice.
Minimum Requirements: Learners must have two GCSEs at grade 3 or above or evidence of previous successful study.

Assessment
All the units are assessed using the evidence you produce as a result of the activities/tasks/assignments completed whilst at college, which will make up a portfolio of work for submission.
On successful completion of this course, you may progress to Access to Higher Education Diploma (Health Professions) or to a Foundation Entry Degree course. When you have completed your studies, you may be able to progress to a chosen Degree programme. Careers that this course may lead to include Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedics, Operation Department Practice, Radiography, and Speech and Language Therapy.
