About the role Reporting to the Supply Scheduling and UK TPO Team Leader, this role controls the income and storage of the bulk rum for Captain Morgan's in Scotland. The successful candidate will collaborate with planning, operations, procurement, and suppliers' teams to ensure liquids' availability are aligned with forecasts through optimized end-to-end inventory management, including safety stocks. You will maintain clear visibility of rum requirements across planning horizons, delivering a balanced suite of KPIs while proactively handling inventory levels and service performance to markets and from suppliers. Key Responsibilities: - Managing shipping dispatches from the Caribbean to Scotland. - Scheduling tank uplifts from docks to Diageo sites, coordinating with suppliers and haulage companies. - Reviewing demand forecasts for S&OE (Sales & Operations Execution) and S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) horizons. - Handling ATP with Rum Distilleries, performance management in partnership with Procurement. - Analyse replenishment exceptions, resolve them per business priorities, and develop risk mitigation plans to ensure an optimal material replenishment strategy. - Confirming cask selections for blending within a short-term scheduling horizon (1-3 weeks). - Creating rum blends based on agreed recipes with Technical. - Managing rum recipe changes ensuring recipes are updated in timely manner. - Develop order book for Caribbean distilleries, aligning orders by mark with recipes and scenarios, and share the plan with Procurement in advance to ensure timely execution and optimized cost. - Managing tank flow to avoid demurrage/additional charges. - Communicating with Operations on arrivals of tanks to optimize filling/disgorging plan. - Scheduling outbound tanks to production sites. - Manage cask inventory including maturation timelines. About you: The successful candidate must have Leadership influencing and stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to challenge senior partners in demand/supply conversations. You will be a champion of root cause culture and methodology building on visual controls excellence and working effectively across planning functions to eliminate service risk. In addition: - Systems experience within supply chain optimization platforms (ERP / master data, time-phased replenishment planning systems). - Strong understanding of supply chain operational processes. - Numerate with statistical, and analytical skills and attention to detail (RCCP). - High capability to simplify and prioritize what is complicated and/or complex. - Pulse on external trends in global supply chains and raw materials.
