Support Worker - Barry (West Aberthaw) - Hourly Rate £11.60 to £12.00 - Full time - 40.25 hours plus Annual Location Allowance - £1200.
Situated in West Aberthaw surrounded by small friendly villages and close to the seaside town of Barry Ty Carreg is home to 12 adults from the age of 18.
Arranged across a series of beautifully converted stone barns Ty Carreg provides a range of interior-designed living environments including sole occupancy self-contained apartments, and 2, 3 and 4-bed communal living areas.
As a Support Worker at Ty Carreg, you will play a crucial role in the lives of adults, supporting their daily activities, additional needs, and personal development. You will work closely with a magnificent team including therapists and other support workers to create a nurturing and inclusive environment.
A day in the life of working at Ty Carreg includes:
1. Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment;
2. Support our people during recreational activities, outings and community integration;
3. Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our people, celebrating their achievements and milestones;
4. Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs;
5. Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise;
6. General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation;
