Position: Deputy Manager
Location: Accrington
Hours: Full-time, 9:00-16:00
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Starting Date: From January 2025 onwards
Role Overview:
As a Nursery Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery. You will help ensure that the highest standards of care and education are maintained while fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing the operational management of the nursery.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and early years education standards.
* Lead and support staff, providing training and guidance as required.
* Assist in planning and implementing a high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of each individual child.
* Monitor and support children's progress and development, ensuring all children are safe, happy, and engaged.
* Build strong relationships with parents, communicating effectively regarding children's progress and well-being.
* Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence, taking on managerial responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (essential).
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an early years setting (essential).
* Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and relevant legislation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
* A passion for working with young children and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
* Safeguarding qualification and First Aid certification (desirable).
