We are seeking a skilled and motivatedElectricianto join the estates team of our prestigious client in Glasgow City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the ongoing maintenance and development of our campus facilities.
The basic dayshift salary is £35000 per annum for 37.5 hours per week Monday - FridayKey ResponsibilitiesAs part of our electrical team, you will be responsible for:
Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across campus.
Responding promptly to electrical breakdowns and faults.
Conducting minor installation works, including containment systems, cabling (lighting, small power, emergency lighting), and more.
Performing routine maintenance on main and sub-main switchboards and electrical distribution networks.
Diagnosing and repairing faults in a wide range of electrical systems, including Heating & Ventilation (H&V) control systems.
Undertaking testing of electrical installations and systems in accordance with regulations.
Completing remedial works following routine inspections or fault identification.
Making minor alterations to fire alarm and intruder alarm systems.
Participating in the emergency call-out rota.
Ensuring all work complies with departmental procedures and Health & Safety legislation.
Attending relevant skills training and development activities.
Performing other duties as reasonably expected in line with the role.
Ideal Candidate
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, installation, and fault-finding. (18th Edition preferred)
A solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
