About the Role We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented UK based UI Designer to join our Product Team and elevate the user experience of Book Creator. This role is pivotal in shaping how our users interact with and feel about our platform. Your designs will inspire teachers and students, making learning even more engaging and accessible. Here’s what you’ll be doing Design impactful experiences: Collaborate with the Product Team to design intuitive and delightful user interfaces across web and mobile platforms. Uphold and evolve our brand: Ensure designs align with Book Creator’s visual identity while evolving our design language to stay modern and inclusive. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring ideas from concept to implementation. Advocate for the user: Conduct and leverage user research to create accessible and inclusive designs that meet the needs of educators and students. Iterate and innovate: Use feedback and data to refine designs and explore creative solutions to user challenges. About You We’re looking for someone with: Proven experience: 3 years of experience in UI/Visual Design, preferably within edtech or SaaS. Strong portfolio: A diverse portfolio showcasing your ability to create stunning and user-friendly designs. Technical proficiency: Mastery of Figma or similar design tools, with a solid understanding of responsive design principles. Empathy for educators and students: A passion for creating tools that enhance education and accessibility. Collaboration skills: A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, integrating feedback and sharing ideas openly. Detail-oriented mindset: Ability to balance creativity with the practical aspects of design and implementation. Educational Requirements A degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Visual Arts, Interaction Design, or a related field.
