Seeking a Consultant Anaesthetist for a permanent job in a public sector hospital in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand's stunning north coast, offering competitive remuneration, relocation package and generous leave. Position Highlights: permanent full time job with a broad scope of practice including ICU if appropriately qualified join a team of 16 consultant anaesthetists in a regional general secondary care hospital cover a range of regional hospital specialties, running one acute and 4 elective theatres a day. specialties include general surgery, orthopaedics, ENT, ophthalmology, gynaecology, obstetrics, acute pain management, MRI, interventional radiology, trauma, pre assessment clinic Duties: 6 clinical sessions per week and 3 non clinical sessions plus an after hours roster that looks after normal anaesthetic work and the level 2 ICU 40 hour working week plus on call rota participation Professional Requirements Eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand FANZCA /FCICM or equivalent Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is strongly desirable, formal qualification(s) in ICU would be extremely attractive but are not a requirement Remuneration Package Salary and allowances NZD 220K - 350K PA 6 weeks annual leave, 10 days study leave plus NZD 16K for expenses relocation package superannuation 6% permanent transferable contract The beautiful Lakes District of Rotorua and Taupo is well known for its outdoor recreational options including trout fishing, walking tracks, cycling and mountain biking.
