IT Support Engineer (Northampton)

This is an IT Technician and Customer Service role based at our Northampton office. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for technology to join our busy IT Department with great customer service skills to support our on-site and remote employees. You will be the only IT Employee based on this site, being the first point of contact for all site IT issues while working alongside the further IT team based in various locations.
The IT team provides support for over 1,500 users covering multiple sites located throughout England and Scotland. The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, excellent phone manners, and be confident under pressure.
The role will be office-based five days a week with occasional travel to other sites when required. The successful candidate will perform general 1st and 2nd line IT support duties as part of the IT Service Desk role as well as assist with the integrations of our most recent acquisitions.
Primarily providing hardware, software, audio-visual, and user support to onsite users while still communicating and assisting the wider IT department and remote sites via remote support.
On-the-job training will be provided by means of mentoring and guidance from senior members of the team.

As an IT Support Engineer with Bellrock, you’ll do it by:
1. Providing end user IT support both in person and over the phone.
2. Logging, prioritizing, and taking ownership of IT Service Desk tickets through to resolution.
3. Setting up new user accounts, profiles, and Office 365 mailboxes.
4. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with PCs, laptops, mobiles, conference equipment, printers, and other IT devices.
5. Configuring mobile and tablet devices on MDM platforms (Intune).
6. Maintaining our IT Asset Register.
7. Installing and configuring operating systems and applications.
What does it take?
If you’re ready to be the energy that helps us build our business, share our success, and really own it as an IT Support Engineer, you’ll need:
1. Broad knowledge of a wide range of Information Technology systems.
2. Basic network troubleshooting skills.
3. Configuring Microsoft Windows 11 operating systems.
4. Ability to troubleshoot & repair hardware and software issues.
5. Computer imaging.
6. Active Directory users and computers, security groups, and Group Policy Objects.
7. Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications including Teams.
8. Microsoft Exchange and O365 online administration.
9. Audio-visual and conference equipment support.
10. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an IT environment.
11. 5 x GCSEs grade A-C.
12. ITIL Certifications advantageous.
13. Microsoft certifications advantageous.
14. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
15. Exceptional time management.
16. Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Working arrangements
