This is a specialist provision supporting students who may have faced barriers to learning in SEND settings, often due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent Strong subject knowledge across Maths, English, and Science at KS3 (and ideally KS4) Resilient, calm, and patient under pressure Able to deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs Experienced (or willing to work) with SEMH, ASC, or alternative provision environments Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills Able to build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff Passionate about providing a nurturing, consistent, and structured environment for young people Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver differentiated lessons across Maths, English, and Science Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs and abilities Build positive relationships with students to re-engage them with education Manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively using positive reinforcement strategies Monitor and record student progress, helping them to achieve personal and academic goals Work closely with support staff, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support Why Join This Progress School?
