The Digital Marketing Executive will be responsible for the delivery, measurement and optimisation of our PPC and SEO campaigns. They’ll use their knowledge of paid search to spot opportunities for improvements in performance and to keep our campaigns running as efficiently as possible, and will use their technical SEO knowledge to work closely with our content writer and agency to improve and optimise organic search performance.
Responsibilities will include:
* Working with the Head of Digital Marketing and our PPC agency to test and optimize ad copy and landing pages in order to improve ROI from campaigns.
* Ensuring all ad copy and assets are compliant and reviewed as required, whilst balancing creativity with robust compliance to ensure all campaigns uphold the necessary regulations: FCA, ASA, GDPR and PECR.
* Working with agency partners to manage lead volumes in line with both the marketing plan and current business needs.
* Supporting the growth of L&C’s SEO presence, working closely with our content writer and agency to make sure our site works for both search engines and our customers.
* Understanding the end-to-end customer journey so we’re focused on quality outcomes as well as overall lead numbers.
* Working to improve our data collection and tracking on our digital journeys, whilst remaining compliant with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
* Liaising with key stakeholders both in the Marketing team and the wider business to ensure our SEO and PPC activity matches our business’ needs.
* Engaging with stakeholders from across the business to monitor capacity and lead performance, and encourage internal engagement and support.
* Working with colleagues from the Marketing team to ensure our ad copy and landing pages are on brand and in L&C’s tone of voice.
* Reporting on channel performance by drawing together and analyzing multiple sources of data both online and offline.
* Executing ad hoc requests for in-house marketing support and collateral as needed.
* Providing support where needed for marketing projects and colleague absence.
About you:
* 1-2+ years of experience in a marketing role with a focus on technical SEO and PPC.
* Marketing, customer service or administrative experience gained within the financial services sector and a desire to work within a busy marketing team.
* Recent PPC and SEO campaign management and optimisation experience.
* Knowledge of website and platform-specific analytics tools (e.g. GA4, VWO or other optimisation software, SEO tools such as SEM Rush and Search Console and Google and MS ads platforms).
Desirable but not essential:
* Experience of performance marketing for financial services or other regulated products/services.
* Experience of proofing, editing and writing ad copy and content in a brand tone of voice.
* Experience working with a CMS, such as Webflow or similar.
* Experience of working closely with agency partners to help support deliver targets.
* Experience of paid advertising across social media platforms.
Qualifications:
* You may have a marketing qualification or you may be self-taught, but either way you’ll have experience and be able to evidence your achievements in performance marketing across paid search and SEO.
