The role of the housekeeper is a fantastic opportunity to work within a healthcare environment.
The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is maintained and all the stores are ordered to ensure the smooth running of the service.
Main duties of the job
1. To enable the co-ordination of all patient facilities/services in the ward area ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
2. To enable clients within the bedded unit to enjoy a fulfilling quality of life based on their individual care and support plan for the duration of their stay.
3. To respectfully provide a safe and caring environment that enhances the client's life and rehabilitation in relation to meals through a person-centered approach.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Possess Level 2 NVQ qualification in Housekeeping or Health and Social Care or able to demonstrate equivalent level of knowledge and experience.
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate or a willingness to work towards one.
Knowledge & Experience
* Understanding and knowledge of basic food hygiene/cleaning standards.
* Previous catering/cleaning experience gained within a ward environment.
* Have experience working in a healthcare environment.
