We are looking for a psychology graduate with an interest in working with adults with eating disorders to fill in a role of an Assistant Psychologist. You will join an experienced and highly motivated Adult Specialist Eating Disorder Service to deliver responsive and effective care for patients with these conditions.
You will be a part of a well established and very supportive psychology team, which includes a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Specialist Clinical Psychologist, CBT therapist, Clinical Associate Psychologists and other Assistant Psychologists.
Main duties of the job
You will be contributing to the assessment and treatment of adults with eating disorders, using a wide range of skills and methods. There will be opportunity for individual case work, group work and audit and research under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist. There will be opportunity to receive training in evidence based eating disorder treatments such as CBT-T and guided self help.
You will be a motivated individual with an undergraduate degree in psychology (2:1) and BPS Graduate Basis for Registration, who can work in a team and is passionate about working with people with mental health problems.
Individuals applying will require a positive attitude to work and will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.

Job responsibilities
You will be a part of a team of assistants psychologists delivering 1:1 and group standardised interventions such as CBT-T and Guided Self Help for eating disorders.
Your role will also involve assisting in specialist assessments and delivering psychometric tests.
The role also includes significant research and data analysis component, including being a part of service improvement and evaluation projects.
Engaging in regular individual as well as group clinical supervision as well as continuing training and skills development are also important aspects of the role.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* An upper second class honours degree or higher in BSC Psychology. Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
Experience
* Previous experience of working with people with mental health problems and/or other disabilities
Personal Qualities
* An interest in working with people with eating disorders and complex emotional problems
