WHAT TO EXPECT
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert and coach for ensuring robust engineering design through JLR's Product Development Process with a strong focus on Through Life (Diagnostics, Service Strategy, Fault Presentations, Prognostics, End of Life Decommissioning). Your role will be to join the Engineering Excellence team to drive and support our Engineering Quality strategy to become the automotive industry world leader by setting benchmarks in Quality, Satisfaction and Reliability through sustainable and innovative luxury products.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Own the Through Life element of the Engineering Excellence Framework Development with a focus on Quality of Event.
2. Coach and mentor individuals or teams on tools and application on both upcoming and existing projects, encouraging best practice for serviceability checks & tooling checks to be fed back into product designs.
3. Lead transformation projects to improve Through Life processes across Product Engineering.
4. Prevent Recurrence measures and Lessons Learnt Implementation.
5. Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
You will bring your skills and experience including:
1. Product Engineering in a large multi-national organisation.
2. Increasing responsibility in a variety of Product Engineering environments focused primarily on complex electro-mechanical-software integrated product architectures used in the automotive industry.
3. Supporting Product Development projects and organisations from concept to launch.
4. Strong people and leadership skills, with the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
