Highways Manager – Strategy & Development
Location: The Wilson Centre, Hull (HU1 2AG)
Contract: Until 31/03/2025 (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour (via Umbrella)
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Are you an experienced Highways Manager ready to take on a strategic leadership role? Hull City Council is seeking a dedicated professional to lead and shape their Transport Strategy and Development Team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward key initiatives in development planning, transport modeling, and sustainable travel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective direction and leadership in professional planning and development services, focusing on transport modelling, strategic highway development, and forward planning.
* Manage and guide the Transport Strategy and Development team, ensuring efficient and innovative solutions to transport and development challenges.
* Collaborate with sector professionals and organizations to integrate modern principles, standards, and methodologies into service provision.
* Represent Hull City Council as a client in regional strategic investment initiatives, including road, rail, water, and air transport projects.
* Oversee the Safety and Facilities Management Team, ensuring effective tracking and progress of raised jobs.
