Job summary Safeguarding Adults Advisor, Band 7 37.5 hours per week Croydon Health Service (CHS) Safeguarding Team (CHSIST) is an integrated team, including the Children Looked After (CLA) Team, Maternity Team, Children's Team, and Adults Team. The CHSIST is made up of doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, midwives and admin colleagues. The Safeguarding (SG) Adults Team work in partnership with the Integrated Care Board (ICB), Safeguarding Adult Board (SAB) and key members across the London Borough of Croydon, regionally across London and Nationally. The SG Adults Team provide care and support to adults at risk of abuse, neglect or self-neglect and provide expert training, advice and support to all CHS staff members within the Trust (Hospital and Community). We take a 'Think Family' approach to safeguarding which means that we consider everyone (including babies not yet born and children looked after) in all we do. We think about family connections and how adult and children's issues are inter-twined, including the transition from young person to young adult which we know can be so difficult for some of our young people. Interview - TBC Main duties of the job You must be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration, Allied Health or Social Worker. Support the Named Nurse for SG Adults in the design, delivery and evaluation of education and training programmes for CHS employees, which reflect best practice in safeguarding and ensure accessibility to all relevant staff. Provide specialist knowledge, advice and practice to Trust staff consistent with the requirements of Law and Legislation. Assist in the development of quality assurance frameworks Monitor compliance with mandatory safeguarding training in conjunction with the workforce essential training team.
