Purchasing Assistant
Fixed Term Contract
Part-Time up to 30 hours per week
£26,000 pro rata
Kinetic Recruitment are currently resourcing for a part-time Purchasing Assistant to work on a Fixed Term Contract up until the end of December 2025 on site in Gateshead.
As Purchasing Assistant you will provide administrative support to the purchasing department. Ensuring all clerical tasks are completed in a timely manner to support the smooth running of the department.
Responsibilities to include:
* Following up with suppliers
* Expediting purchase orders
* Manage purchase order confirmations
* Invoice queries
* Updating the team and stakeholders about any delays or problems with suppliers
* Maintaining records / document management
* Any other duties as requested or assigned by the Purchasing Manager
Skills and Experience:
* Previous experience in a purchasing department
* Manufacturing environment experience would be beneficial
* Customer service skills
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
* Strong PC skills
* Strong in both Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word
* Team player
This role is part-time working 25-30 hours per week. Flexible with working hours however Friday must be a working day.
This role is paid at £13.50 per hour.
