The Role
As the Meetings & Events Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of all our Meetings and Events operations. Our events range from corporate meetings, weddings, and birthdays to conferences and other social gatherings. Your main duties will include delivering exceptional service, ensuring efficient event operations, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. You will also lead exciting projects aimed at enhancing both our product and service offerings. Working closely with the Meetings & Events Sales Manager and General Manager, you'll play a key role in commercial planning while contributing to initiatives that drive growth and continuous improvement.
Role Responsibilities:
* Brief and organise floor and bar teams on their role/tasks at the beginning of each shift/event.
* Organise and help set, reset and close down the events rooms.
* Provide efficient, professional and friendly customer service across all events.
* Building & maintaining strong relationships with the General Managers to improve productivity, effectiveness, and the customer experience.
* To run the operations for small meetings & events.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have:
* Must be an enthusiastic, dedicated and hardworking individual.
* Must have excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Have experience in running and managing a broad portfolio of events.
* Have a methodical and meticulous approach to their work.
* Be a great communicator with a passion for what they do.
* Be confident in people management with experience of leading a team.
* Have a proven track record in a Meetings & Events role within the hospitality industry.
