This position will be located in Midvale, UT USA or Australia.
The Global Product Line Manager will manage multiple teams led by Senior Managers and/or Managers or a number of Lead or Expert IC role holders. Responsibilities typically include ownership of short to mid-term (1-3 years) execution of functional strategy and the operational direction of significant areas. Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis. Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches and with the ability to communicate and influence executive leadership. This position will be based at our U.S. office in Midvale, UT.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Track market performance (order intake, revenue, proposals, quality, claims, customer feedback) and globally determines all aspects of product lifecycle.
2. Ensure that the FLSmidth delivers competitive state of the art leading service products and solutions to the market globally.
3. Be the overall global product owner with overall Profit & Loss responsibility
4. Have the technical knowledge, commercial perspective, and strategic vision supported by technical knowledge.
5. Ensure that the service product and solution strategy is aligned with the Group and business strategy and direct R&D.
6. Launch new products as the product responsible owner and act as gatekeeper of Product Development and Optimization Projects.
7. Actively support Customer Services Sales in proposing and selling the product including making compelling product presentations that differentiate FLS in the marketplace.
Required Skills & Competencies:
8. B.S. degree in one of the engineering disciplines preferred. Ten plus (10+) years’ work experience in a related field required. Requires specialized knowledge or experience related to screen products.
9. Demonstrated credibility in knowledge of FLS equipment, markets, customers, and competitors.
10. Requires ability to read and interpret contracts, specifications, and drawings. Thorough knowledge of marketing, bidding, and pricing techniques.
11. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing on a technical level and make formal presentations. Must be proficient with personal computer using company-standard software.
12. Demonstrated leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and customer relations skills. Requires skills in planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
13. Must be commercially sensitive in relationships with customers and in providing solutions to problems.
14. Walking, climbing stairs, climbing on or around equipment, sitting, standing, bending, reaching, lifting (20#).
Travel is expected in this role. Volumes will vary based on the requirements of the roleDomestic and international travel to job sites, customers, and contractors. Office atmosphere approx. 70%,
