Sandwell College is looking for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team on a part-time, fixed term contract, till July 2025 as a Lecturer in Art and Fashion. Responsibilities In this role, you will deliver high-quality teaching across a range of courses within our Art and Fashion curriculum, including design principles, fashion illustration, textiles, garment construction, and art theory. You'll guide students through practical workshops, lectures, and tutorials, ensuring they develop both technical skills and creative vision. You'll also have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues to design and implement inspiring course content that stays ahead of industry trends. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise The ideal candidate will have a solid background in arts and fashion, a commitment to student development, and a passion for teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds. To be successful you will have a recognised teaching qualification, (L5 or above) and a relevant professional qualification relevant to the department. You will be inspirational in your teaching and demonstrate the ability to motivate our learners to achieve their targets and career ambitions.
