Role Description
The Sales Director at Eastside Co is entrusted with the mission of driving the company's growth by strategically leading the commercial team and personally engaging in high-level client interactions to secure new business opportunities. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing sales strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets, and fostering sustainable client relationships.
Objectives and Responsibilities
* Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Eastside Co's goals, focusing on expanding the client base, increasing market share, and driving revenue growth.
* Team Development and Management: Lead, mentor, and expand the commercial team to ensure peak performance, fostering a culture of success, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Client Acquisition and Retention: Actively engage in pitching and closing deals, leveraging deep industry knowledge and sales expertise to secure strategic partnerships and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
* Market Analysis and Adaptation: Continuously analyse market trends and client needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly, ensuring Eastside Co remains competitive and responsive to market dynamics.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including marketing, project management, and operations, to ensure a cohesive approach to client engagement and service delivery.
* Revenue Growth and Forecasting: Set ambitious yet achievable revenue targets, closely monitor sales performance, and adjust strategies as necessary to meet or exceed these goals.
* Brand Ambassadorship: Represent Eastside Co at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, enhancing the company's profile and establishing it as a leader in the Shopify agency space.
What the perfect candidate looks like
* You are an existing Sales Director/Head of Commercial, or a high performing and aspiring Business Development Manager.
* You have deep knowledge of the e-commerce industry.
* You have excellent communication skills, and be confident in both pitching to high-profile clients and coaching others in doing so.
* You have a positive and "make it happen" attitude, as well as a passion for performance and driving sales.
* You have experience in a remote working environment, pitching and closing high profile deals with clients both physically and virtually. You'll also have experience in coaching others in this space.
* You have a grasp on Shopify and how it works in the e-commerce industry.
* You are able to operate and communicate at a senior level, reporting into the CEO.
