What We Are Looking For Job Purpose: We are seeking someone on a part time basis (3 days per week), for a 12 Month FTC. Oversee the day to day Health & Safety for staff, visitors and others, in a busy head office building and ensuring compliant practices and procedures, including: audits and inspections, accident and near misses, DSE, training, contractor management inc. resident teams and all associated paperwork inc. risk assessments. Key Accountabilities: Risk assessments, safe systems of work (SSOW) and all other H&S documents are routinely reviewed, updated and created to reflect the working arrangements within Head Office Undertake various audits and inspections across the office, identifying and supporting others in areas for improvement and reporting on findings. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses to identify causation. Recommend and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences Manage first aid & fire marshal arrangements for Head Office, inc. the training of staff Responsible for contractor management inc. their membership to our safety scheme, reviewing of RAMS, issuing of permits to work and COSHH Manage DSE process for staff, both when working in Head Office or off site (at home), including desk assessments and the ordering of necessary equipment Deputise/support in the event of an emergency situation inc. office evacuation Be a point of contact to the local Health & Safety Champions and provide them with support to fulfil their duties within Head Office Identify and recommend improvements to Health & Safety arrangements, in support of Head Office and any at times of changes in legislation Work collaboratively with group FH&S team inc. that of a dedicated partner, for Head Office. Maintain regular contact and develop working relationships with internal stakeholders Support in other areas of department operation, as and when required such as facilities projects and ad-hoc staff requests.
