The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Civil Engineer to join a leading Nuclear client based out of Plymouth.
Job Overview:
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the civil engineering aspects of the facility. Ensure systems are designed against a clear statement of compliance with defined requirements, including a demonstration that the design meets relevant HSE requirements. Supports delivery of civil engineering work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule, and cost.
Some of your duties will include:
1. Management of the civil engineering elements of the Facility ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice for civil engineering.
2. Provide Technical design guidance and review of civil design packages.
3. Provide Technical design guidance and review integration of civil designs with other design packages.
4. Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
What do you need to succeed?
1. The candidate should have experience of: Civil Engineering (marine environment), Ducts and Networks, Swept Path Analysis, Road & Hardstanding's, Miscellaneous foundations - lighting, bollards etc.
2. Marine remedial civil repairs.
3. Management of Sub-contractors/consultants.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Civil Engineering.
2. Preferred Chartered Engineer, registered with Engineering Council.
3. Preferred Nuclear Introductory Course or equivalent nuclear knowledge.
