This site is at the forefront of innovation and sustainability, operating as a “Factory of the Future.” Due to team expansion, we are currently looking for Maintenance Engineers to play a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and continuous improvement. As a Maintenance Engineer you can expect: Key Responsibilities: Monitor production lines, identify faults, and implement problem-solving techniques to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency. Continuously assess and improve plant equipment performance to optimise output. Support sustainability efforts by ensuring efficient resource utilization (energy, waste, etc.). Work closely with the production team to enable timely start-up of machinery and plant. Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards. Estimate work hour requirements, prepare requisitions, and inspect equipment as needed. Coordinate activities with production, quality, and external contractors to maintain smooth operations. Carry out routine audits to ensure compliance with AIB, EFSIS, and GMP standards. Ensure compliance with Food Safety Legislation, including HACCP, to maintain the highest quality and safety standards. Support and lead small engineering projects, assisting with major installations and upgrades. Maintain accurate documentation and records for all maintenance activities. Candidate Profile: Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline. Experience working in the food or consumer products industry is preferred. Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary engineering skills and principles. Knowledge of food handling safe practices and compliance with regulations such as HACCP, PUWER, LOLER, and COSHH. Experience with AC/DC drives and control equipment. Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical drawings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers. PC literate, with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant systems. A proactive and positive attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to take initiative and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Why Apply?
