Senior Quantity Surveyor – Leading Hampshire Subcontractor Are you a highly experienced and driven Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a leading subcontractor? We are currently seeking an individual who is naturally self-motivated, a strong communicator with eagerness to build relationships with clients to further enhance the clients brand. Negotiation skills and attention to detail are required for the role. Will demonstrate good business acumen and be commercially astute and dynamic at problem solving, covering projects within Hampshire, Berkshire, Surrey and Sussex. The Role Business development – identifying, nurture and acquiring new clients and business opportunities, driving growth and profitability. This may involve entertaining clients at sporting events. Develop relationships to ensure effective communication is achieved and maintained. Responsible for building relationships with clients to further enhance the clients brand. This will include regular telephone conversations and site meetings. Relationship building with the in house team and suppliers with regular communication. Assist the commercial team to produce accurate take-offs and submit tenders in line with business strategy. Some involvement in materials supply packages. Be involved in setting site budgets which will include breaking down subcontractor prices sheets and setting other budgets. Oversee Subcontractor Payment Process alongside Accounts function ensuring all invoices are processed weekly and paid fortnightly. Surveying several live sites (solely the carpentry package). Managing the variation procedures & dealing with price queries from in house tradesman. Bad debt recovery – Attendance to a monthly debtors meeting. Responsible for Dispute resolution. Prepare regular reports including KPI data for the board illustrating the financial situation of various projects in relation to budgets, highlighting any issues/risks. Reconcile monthly costs reports for presentation to Board. As part of the commercial team, might be asked to prepare RAMS documentation and deal with customer care issues that result in a contra charge.
