The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) at NHS Grampian currently has a vacancy for a Band 5 Medical Engineering Technician and are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced technician to join a small team of 2 technicians at Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin. The candidate will specialise in servicing and maintaining a range of patient applied equipment, namely (though not exhaustive) Pumps, Patient Monitors, Ventilators, Theatre equipment, all used in clinical areas throughout the Grampian region. You will have experience in electrical/electronic engineering and be able to clearly demonstrate post qualification technical training and experience in the support of a broad range of medical equipment, although specific training on a range of medical devices will be provided. High personal integrity and sympathetic people skills, with the ability to fit in and perform as part of a small team providing technical support to critical care and other clinical areas are essential. The base for the post-holder will be in Dr Grays Hospital, Elgin, although the post-holder will be expected to carry out their duties across related Health Board sites as necessary. Driving license is therefore essential.
