Job summary
In 2020 North Liverpool PCN launchedthe firstfully integrated inter-practice Long-ActingContraception clinics forprimary care in Liverpool. Theseclinics became the foundation for what are now known as the Liverpool WomensHealth Hubs. The Liverpool model for Womens Health Hubs was the key case studypublished in the Womens Health Strategy and has become a flag-ship model formany other areas developing similar services. Since these services firstlaunched, we have seen a 150% uptake in LARC procedures compared topre-pandemic figures. Through the womens health hubs, we now can offer manywomen access to simple community gynaecology services such as implants &coils, pessary changes, menopause care, basic STI screening and cervicalscreening. The womens health hubs are also continually evolving, expanding andexploring additional services for our patients.
North Liverpool PCN is looking for a highly organised,motivated individual to support the day-to-day running of our Womens HealthService and Supporting of the PCN. The post holder would need to be extremelyefficient, professional & understand the importance of good access to highquality womens health care (especially in the current climate). We wouldexpect an applicant to be very good at working in a team and have a passion tohelp develop our services. The post holder is expected to be a strong communicatorand have excellent administrative skills.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate is expected to have an enthusiasm to train in new skills and to work alongside our GP lead for Womens Health to help develop and expand the Womens Health Hub and to also support the primary care network Care co-ordinator. The successful candidate will work 3 days as a womens health care coordinator and 2 days supporting the PCN.
Managing appointments (via EMIS Web)
Organising efficient day-to day running of the Womens HealthHub
Contacting patients & clinicals over appointmentschedules
Liaising with practices & health care professionals
Answering patient queries
Managing waiting lists
Managing stock requests
Service promotion across the PCN
Running EMIS searches
Use of Excel programme to support LES claims
Working closely with the Clinical Lead of the Womens HealthHub (WHH) to facilitate advancement & promotion of the services
Manage PCNEmail queries
Manage Linkworker and Mental health practitioner referrals
Support PCNclinical leads with projects
Support withCovid vaccination centre administration
Supportcovid vaccinators in housebound patients/Care homes when needed
