Job Summary Due to the progression of the previous postholder, a great opportunity has arisen within the Finance Service for a qualified accountant looking to develop their local government experience. This is a full time position working within the Corporate Finance team supporting the Principal Accountant. This position is responsible for the Council’s General Fund and Housing Capital. This is a key role in the team, particularly involved in the annual accounts and budget processes, with responsibility for the supervision of other members of the team and the completion of discrete elements of work. Applicants should have knowledge of local government finance. We are looking for a qualified accountant (CCAB) with excellent relationship building, problem solving and analytical skills, and the ability to support and develop colleagues within the team.
