What you will do
We are looking for a seasoned event manager to join our London-based events team to support our fast-growing calendar of annual flagship events. In this role, you will own end-to-end attendee management and event tech delivery for a diverse range of flagship events in multiple countries. Key responsibilities include communications with C-level executives and their teams before, during, and after our events, tracking the completion of pre-event milestones, circulating regular internal reports, and overseeing all tech development and testing to ensure a seamless end-to-end experience. You will also be required to, manage a broad spectrum of third-party vendors, project manage stakeholders, run end-to-end delivery, and attend all events in person to help bring our brand to life. A critical focus of this position is also to identify and implement scalable technology and communication enhancements that elevate the customer experience.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a diverse group of internal stakeholders, including product managers, research analysts, sales representatives, and account managers, and report directly to the Head of Event Operations.
Note: This is a primarily office-based role (4 days per week in office and 1 day work from home per week). Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Core Responsibilities
* End-to-end attendee communication and reporting: In partnership with our Communications team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering all pre, during, and post event communications, as well as supporting attendees move their way through all pre-event tasks and report on progress internally.
* Event experience and delivery: Attend all flagship events and function as the main point of contact for C-level executives and their teams; manage event meeting schedules and serve as the “face of the company” to help bring our brand to life.
* Project manage stakeholder teams: Project manage stakeholders around the business to meet critical project milestones and keep progress on track.
* Event tech strategy and execution: Project manage the development and testing for all event tech, including our registration portal, agenda selection portal and onsite event app.
* Process improvement and automation: In collaboration with our Product and Tech team you will be responsible for reinventing our current working practices, to help automate and streamline pre-event communications, improve internal reporting mechanisms, and simplify current processes.
Who you are
You are an experienced event manager who is passionate about event delivery with an organized, process-driven approach and a problem-solving mindset. With 4-6 years of professional experience in this field, you have a broad range of knowledge in multiple event disciplines and have used tools such as events apps, email marketing platforms and Salesforce. You thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, growth environment and can work independently but also collaboratively with teams and stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
* 4-6 years of experience in event management.
* Demonstrated ability to manage the full attendee experience, including pre-event, on-site, and post-event communications.
* Proficiency with event app software, online registration tools, and email marketing platforms, with the ability to learn and adapt to new systems independently.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to communicate externally and with internal stakeholders.
* Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and project management skills.
* Extremely well organized, detail and process oriented.
* Proven ability to multitask and efficiently manage time and resources.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce CRM.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working with marketing tools (i.e., Pardot) to automate email journeys and analyse performance.
* Knowledge of the event tech landscape and what is on offer.
* Experience working in start-up and/or scale-up environments.
