Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you as a Engineering Technician will be working within the PYG engineering team and directly supporting the process engineers.
About the job:
• Ensuring smooth flow of product through production
• Supporting yield improvement activities
• Supporting failure analysis and investigations of problem batches
• Carrying out testing on engineering batches
• Investigating opportunities for improvement throughout the processes
• Analyzing scrap and instigating improvements
• Adding results to databases
• Supporting lean manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen
• Supporting implementation and maintenance of process tooling
• Support autonomous maintenance for process equipment
• Update and implement process instructions
About you:
• HNC qualified or equivalent technical experience
• 1-2 years' experience working in a production environment
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• Computer literate, proficient with Microsoft packages
• Able to manage own time to complete tasks assigned
• Desire to learn and progress
Beneficial skills:
• Experience in electrical or semiconductor manufacturing
• Experience supporting Access Databases
• Understanding of ERP systems such as SAP
• Understanding of 6 sigma tools
