An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, dynamic and committed Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our friendly breast unit of four breast surgeons, a nurse consultant, four advanced nurse practitioners, a surgical practitioner nurse and three other breast CNSs., You will join an established breast care nursing team.
We facilitate high quality specialist nursing care to all patients with breast cancer and their families and friends, from diagnosis, during adjuvant treatments (surgery including breast reconstruction, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted/ biological treatments, endocrine treatments and bisphosphonate treatment), after treatment helping them to move forward and those who develop a recurrence or metastatic disease, working alongside the metastatic breast CNS team.
You will play an active part in clinical practice, education, research/audit and the implementation of local and national guidelines.
You will be required to make quality improvements in the provision of breast cancer services.
And as clinical nurse specialists, we also act as resource to other health care professionals on breast cancer treatments and supportive care issues.

We have a fixed term opportunity for 12 months - 37.5hrs per week, for a Band 7 CNS.
Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to be able to work in partnership with the Royal Marsden Hospital in the provision of complex breast cancer treatment.
Kingston's breast service is an active member of the RM Partners group, The post-holder will be expected to participate in the Pan-London Breast Care Nursing Group.
