Position – Contracts Manager – Water Treatment
Location – Derby – (Remote/Onsite)
Salary/Package - £40,000 - £45,000, Company Car/Fuel, Commission/Est 10k in the 1st year, 10% non-contributory pension.
Profile
Established for nearly 30 years as a water and wastewater treatment company, who supports a technical sales team throughout the UK and Ireland. Programs that serve all manner of industrial applications, including Cooling Towers, Closed Loops & Chilled Water, Steam Boilers & Generators and Hot & Cold-Water Systems.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage a portfolio of water treatment service contracts across multiple industrial and commercial sites.
2. Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled in accordance with agreed specifications, timelines, and budgets.
3. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site visits, and performance reviews.
4. Monitor and manage contract performance metrics, reporting KPIs and identifying areas for improvement.
5. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for each contract.
6. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
7. Collaborate with sales and technical teams to support contract renewals, extensions, and upselling opportunities.
8. Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Minimum Requirements
1. 3 to 4 years’ experience, the portfolio of contracts are longstanding and extremely important to the business.
2. Strong understanding of water treatment technologies, chemical dosing, and compliance standards (e.g., Legionella control, ACoP L8, HSG274).
3. Degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
4. Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Water Treatment/Legionella Awareness, NEBOSH/IOSH) are a plus.
5. Must hold a Full UK Licence.
6. Pass an enhanced DBS Check.
