RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Performs one or more sets of the following; may not include all duties performed; not all incumbents perform all essential functions delineated:
1. Performs full range of entry or full proficiency level administrative support and secretarial tasks as assigned to support the instructional program; assisting school administration, teachers, and general school operations.
2. Serve as receptionist; greets all visitors, answers phones, distributes mail, etc.
3. Composes routine correspondence; may prepare information and presentation packets as needed.
4. Organize and maintain files.
EXPERIENCE:
5. Knowledge of business and school office procedures, practices, and equipment; business English and office terminology.
6. Knowledge of the operation, uses and capabilities of computer equipment and computer programs utilized at APS (e.g. Synergy, FRONTLINE, and STARS); including good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
7. High School diploma or GED; including or supplemented by courses in business and office practices with a minimum of two years’ responsible clerical experience, preferably in an education-related setting.
8. Excellent human relations skills; ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees at all levels, including students, parents, and the public in a courteous and tactful manner.
9. Excellence in business English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
