Working within a corporate setting and reporting into the Head of HR and operating as part of the wider HR team, the role is a standalone L&D role and will be responsible and accountable for a number of varied and wide ranging responsibilities.
The role requires a dynamic, forward thinking, enthusiastic and positive individual to really drive forward the L&D agenda and will require the successful person to play a key part in analysing the skills needed across the business, developing tailored learning programs to ensure skills and capabilities are maximised across all employees.
Role and responsibilities:
1. Conduct skills gap analyses for roles across the business, liaising with department leaders to identify individual training needs
2. Create competency frameworks through analysing data and feedback from managers and employees
3. Design and deliver comprehensive L&D programs
4. Design and deliver training materials including e-learning, blended learning, workshops, developing a toolkit for managers through coaching and tutorials
5. Work closely with individuals on their personal learning journey providing solutions to ensure career growth in line with organisational objectives
6. Identify appropriate external training and facilitate within the business
7. Oversee and deliver management development training
8. Enable evaluation of training over time, adapt as required to ensure success
To be successful, we’re looking for following skills:
9. Ideally degree educated with a relevant L&D qualification, CIPD or Learning Certificate (e.g. ILM)
10. Minimum of 5 years working in a generalist broad based L&D role ideally gained within a corporate environment
11. Experience of leading an L&D function and/or capable of working and making decisions autonomously
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a positive, “can-do” approach.
13. Proficient in Learning Management Systems (LMS)
14. Knowledge of the latest trends and insights into learning and development
15. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders as well as varying projects and initiatives at any one time.
