We're a multi-channel, multi-brand business serving millions of customers a day, with the UK's largest loyalty scheme and an evolving set of commercial platforms. All this equals over 1.2 billion transactions each year, presenting a volume, depth, and complexity of data that few can match. We don't think we're exaggerating when we say we have the most exciting data set in the country. And from the insights gained, we build scalable, high-performance products using cutting-edge technology that give our customers an amazing shopping experience - like our award-winning Smartshop app. In an inclusive, agile environment, you'll have the space to be curious, to experiment, and to solve real-world challenges. And you'll get to see your creations in the hands of hundreds of colleagues or millions of customers across the UK. As a Senior Product Manager in Commercial Food, you will work closely with a variety of teams across commercial, digital, supply chain, logistics and retail to advance several core strategic initiatives by building products that enhance our customer experience and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our commercial capabilities. Our commercial platforms enable product setup, supplier partnerships, space and range optimisation, pricing and promotions, and display. They enable Sainsbury's to serve millions of our customers, and we aim to offer an increasingly optimised customer experience. You'll be shaping our future technology to help create the right proposition for Sainsbury's customers wherever and however they might choose to shop with us. You'll transform our ways of working and how we make decisions. You'll enable connected planning and operational efficiency. You'll bring together data integration, perceptive analytics, and flexibility to help Sainsbury's achieve its full potential. We want to delight our customers with new food items & this role looks after the tech that does just that, from product setup through to product assurance and performance. This end to end role will give you excellent exposure to Commercial, Digital, Supply Chain, Logistics and Data stakeholders. These Commercial products are in operation 24/7 across every division of Sainsbury's to ensure we're providing the right teams with the right data necessary for our customers - from moving products around our network to the allergen information that gets presented to customers. You'll work with both commercial and technical stakeholders to share and deliver on our vision; steering the direction of development, interacting frequently with senior leaders, and working closely with a range of teams to ensure activity is prioritised in line with the agreed product goals and metrics. You'll lead agile Engineering teams, in partnership with multiple Engineering Managers, to drive our Product Data roadmap and development; regularly communicating progress, proactively managing risks/issues to remove blockers, and effectively prioritising, coordinating, and communicating the resolution of any production issues. You'll be responsible for the coordination and alignment with other product teams to develop and launch new products and to continually improve customer experience. Always considering the market context and ever-evolving technology and legislative environment, you'll clearly articulate the business benefit of potential and current products, while tracking both effort and value delivery, to identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvement.
