What you will do:
1. Take ownership of the product roadmap and schedule of delivery for key updates for the Metro Bank website.
2. Collaborate with Product/Marketing Managers, project teams and delivery teams from all across the business, providing them with technical expertise and sound advice to develop new features and functionality for the Metro Bank website and to agree the product roadmap.
3. Manage the relationship with our external web development agency and prioritise and direct their work to build new features and functionality for the Metro Bank website, ensuring that new features/releases reflect agreed scope, budgets and timelines.
4. Drive on diagnosis and rectification of customer and performance issues with the site.
5. Continuously review, manage and/or remediate risks and vulnerabilities.
6. Develop website management processes and procedures and be the digital content advocate and produce guidelines and policies.
7. Balance ‘BAU’ detail and delivery activity, as well as delivering a well-informed, thoughtful strategy for our website proposition, identifying opportunities and capability gaps that we need to address based on relevant insight.
8. Interpret data from Google Analytics and other sources and make recommendations based on your analysis.
9. Co-ordinate with Digital Marketing Managers to implement technical SEO strategy to ensure website performance is constantly optimised.
10. Line Management responsibility of 1 direct report.

What you will need:
1. Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders.
2. Advanced experience with using third party analytical tools (e.g. Google Analytics) to provide product usage and traffic insight.
3. Previous experience of working in an agile delivery environment, working across different digital channels and working collaboratively in a multi-functional team.
4. Strong technical knowledge tagging systems e.g. Google Tag Manager.
5. Familiarity with website compliance and regulations e.g. cookie consent.
6. Demonstrable knowledge of front-end development languages including HTML and CSS.
7. Understanding of martech including content testing and optimisation, personalisation and analytics.
8. Experience of managing a website and excellent knowledge of digital products, on both the content and the technical delivery side. Plus digital/Web planning experience (i.e. wireframes, style guides) and managing and producing customer-facing material.
9. Background of online customer experience, incorporating the principles of usability, accessibility, marketing and design.
10. Line management experience.
11. Website migration experience a plus.
