Your opportunity
As a Data Architect within the Finance Reporting and Analytics team, you will provide expertise to enhance and develop the finance and HR data analytics platform based on modern cloud-based technologies.
You will leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to plan and drive best-in-class outcomes.
You will build strong relationships and foster collaboration to effectively work across a wide range of stakeholders to gain buy-in and drive progress in a fast paced and evolving environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Develop multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
* Serve as the function’s go-to subject matter expert on Finance and HR reporting data
* Define the strategic Data Architecture and standards including path from current-state to target-state
* Creates conceptual, logical and physical data models including data flows
* Advise on software and application patterns to deliver the future-state
* Provide guidance to developers, steering them towards the successful execution of projects that align with JHI's architectural patterns and practices.
* Able to provide requirements to data developers at a low level as foundation for them to build code
* Design and develop tactical and strategic solutions, providing hands-on direction to develop efficient and scalable solutions that align with the company's business objectives.
* Able to perform data reconciliations at a row level to identify causes of data quality issues and advise data developers on fixes or co-ordinate with source system SMEs to resolve issues at source
* Participate in all phases of the agile systems development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design (including code design and code reviews), development, testing and deployment, within a 2-week sprint, providing work estimates for tasks to project management, and participating in agile ceremonies.
* Work closely with business and technical teams to build strong relationships, understand needs, analyse requirements, and ensure communication across the organization.
* Drive continuous innovation through staying current with technology and architectural approaches, while mentoring others in doing the same

Must have skills
* Formal training or certification on Architecture concepts and expert applied experience.
* Minimum of seven years of experience designing and implementing a full-scale cloud data warehouse solution using Snowflake, ELT tools (ideally Informatica CDI), and DBT.
* Of this experience, most recently, five years should have been spent delivering architectural artifacts such data models, data flow diagrams, and data dictionaries.
* Additional to that architectural experience, the successful candidate would have spent five years developing pipelines and ELT flows (preferably Informatica CDI), schemas and standard database entities in a cloud database. They should have worked with SQL and Python during this period.
* Demonstrable experience with Finance and/ or HR master and transactional data
* Demonstrable experience with data reconciliation between different data sources.
* Ability to thoroughly understand current-state business problems, then translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into architectural proposals and diagrams.
* Trusted and respected as a thought leader who can influence and persuade our business partners, IT leaders, and IT development teams.
* Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives - must be able to synthesize technical recommendations, roadmaps, and dependencies into concise messages for leadership.
* Experience of working with geographically dispersed development teams
* Expertise and excellent proficiency with Snowflake internals and integration of Snowflake with other technologies for data processing and reporting.
* A highly effective communicator, both orally and in writing
* Problem-solving and architecting skills in cases of unclear requirements.
* Technical knowledge or experience in the following data languages or toolsets: AutoSys, Databricks, Informatica CDI, Informatica Power Center, Snowflake, Python, and SQL
Nice to have skills
* Experience with SAP FI, SuccessFactors Employee Central, and/ or SAP BW
* Experience with Power BI
* Experience with DBT
* Knowledge of machine learning and/ or artificial intelligence
* Experience leading a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager
