Step Teachers are seeking an experienced General Science Teacher located in Barnet commencing in March 2025. This full-time position is for 15 days initially, with potential extension based on performance and school discretion.

Your duties as a General Science Teacher:
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality science lessons that engage students and support their academic progression.
* Teach a variety of science topics including biology, chemistry, and physics, in line with the national curriculum.
* Foster a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students feel supported and inspired to learn.
* Differentiate instruction to cater to students of all abilities, ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.
* Track and monitor students’ progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
* Collaborate with other staff members to develop cross-curricular learning opportunities and share best practices.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities, science clubs, or events that promote scientific learning outside the classroom.
To be considered for this General Science Teacher position, you will:
* Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science).
* Have experience as a Science Teacher for Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 (NQTs are welcome to apply).
* Possess strong subject knowledge across the three main science disciplines (biology, chemistry, and physics).
* Have the ability to motivate and engage students through creative and interactive teaching methods.
* Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Demonstrate a passion for science and inspire students to appreciate its relevance to everyday life.
