Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provides high quality and personalised support and care for over 300 individuals across Fife and Forth Valley.
The Locheil service, in Glenrothes supports individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities and complex needs. The type of support we provide is from 24 hour support with sleepover to a few hours support per day.
We work with people in their own homes, assisting them to do the things that matter to them and to realise their ambitions. We support a number of individuals who live with family members to access activities in the community, allowing family members to have some well deserved time to themselves.

support people to live their best life possible. The current post holder is retiring after almost 30 years working in Kingdom Support and Care. Those with high empathy and tolerance along with a great sense of humour are key to success in what at times can be a challenging but rewarding role.
The service and support we provide is built around the individual, taking on board their needs,
choices and aspirations. No day is ever the same, but every day is rewarding.
We require flexibility in your approach to work and it is essential you are able to work shifts which will include weekend working, evenings and sleepovers, with some allocated office time within your rota. You should have two years experience in a Support and Care setting and knowledge/experience of supporting people. Experience at supervisory level is a benefit but not essential however an understanding of the qualities and skills required is pivotal.
If you hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration
criteria this could be the opportunity for you. Further learning to gain an SVQ 3 would be
required within a 2 year timeframe.
About the Role
In this role, you will be an integral member of the support team contributing to and ensuring the
high quality of care and support for individuals within the Lochiel Service, which is in Glenrothes and in the surrounding area.
Some individuals have complex care needs including epilepsy management, medication administration and manual handling requirements, and the support can involve providing personal care.
Job Description
Undertake regular review meetings, support the staff team and support the performance management process.
Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients, family members, colleagues, and other professionals.
Work closely with the Service Coordinators and Support Workers to ensure the service users needs are constantly being provided for by developing and implementing support plans.
Ensure outcomes are set and people are supported to achieve these.
Ensure high quality care and support is delivered to individuals.
Utilise the correct systems and technology to enable delivery quality care.

Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, a current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes is essential. You will be required to take supported individuals in your car for their Fday activities.
