Job Description
The Company is looking for a skilled, professional Facilities Manager to work with our Senior Management Team to organise and deliver on the required programme of maintenance and servicing across the estate. Our business relies on providing high-quality premises and people. We work hard to ensure our buildings and installations look and perform to the standards expected by our members.
Swimming Pools are at the heart of our offering, but the Company has a diverse portfolio of facilities including catering units, gym equipment, complex structures, spa facilities, and many other features. The successful Facilities Manager will require a broad knowledge of Estate Management and compliance, along with a good working knowledge of pool plant operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Duties
* Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance programmes for all equipment and systems.
* Coordinate with contractors for major repairs or renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schematics and equipment specifications.
* Troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, mechanical systems, and logic controllers.
* Ensure that all facilities are kept in a clean, safe, and functional condition.
* Lead projects aimed at improving facility efficiency and sustainability.
Requirements
* Ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, Acts of Parliament, British and International Standards & relevant guidance documents, such as PWTAG codes of practice.
* Managing and auditing an internal preventative maintenance schedule of works and inspections.
* Working with a panel of established contractors to organise and deliver an ongoing programme of servicing, maintenance, and improvements.
* Regularly reviewing and updating risk assessments, safe systems of work, training documents, and operating procedures.
* Project-managing new installations and projects.
* Keeping tabs on utility usage and enabling savings where possible.
* Using initiative and experience to problem-solve and manage day-to-day activities to ensure the facilities run smoothly and any issues are dealt with quickly to minimise disruption.
* Having regular meetings with the executive team to provide updates, flag issues, and report on KPIs.
* Reviewing costs of works and quotations to ensure best value and working within budgets.
* Supporting all team members by solving both professional and technical issues.
* Supporting on opening and closing the facilities.
Desirable Requirements:
* Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety, compliance, plant operations, engineering, or a relevant trade.
* Management and Leadership experience.
* Proven track record of accomplishment in a similar role and industry.
* Pool Plant Operators certificate.
* First aid certificate.
* Fire risk assessor certificate.
* Technical background and hands-on ability to contribute where required.
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week. Weekends and School Holiday work required.
The successful candidate will need to work across both sites: Newcastle and Hanley.
The successful candidate will be expected to join the Management on-call rota, providing emergency cover for our businesses including out-of-hours; the commitment is typically 1 week in every 6/7 weeks.

Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
