We are currently seeking to recruit a motivated Clinical Psychologist who has experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, and experience of working with vulnerable adults during particularly difficult times in their lives. The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team at the Inpatient service at Townend Court, and work as part of the broader Psychological Therapies Team who provide the psychological services to the inpatient and community teams for adults with learning disabilities across Hull and East Yorkshire. Main duties of the job The post holder will: work as part of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within the Townend Court Inpatient Service to provide the therapeutic pathway for adults with learning disabilities during an inpatient stay. This will involve psychological assessment, risk assessment, formulation, care planning, and the provision of direct and indirect therapeutic approaches. work closely with the leadership team and the MDT to embed a trauma-informed approach, including training, supervision and reflective practice for the staff group work with the wider Psychological Therapies Team to provide a range of consultative and therapeutic approaches to adults with learning disabilities, their families, and their support networks, across the community and inpatient teams play an active role in the clinical governance of Learning Disability services, and support quality improvement plans You will join a well established Psychological Therapies Team consisting of Clinical Psychologists, Systemic Therapists, and Trainee and Assistant Psychologists, who together provide the psychological services across the multi-disciplinary Learning Disability Service.
