We support data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure the customers of Amazon Web Services have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Data Center support technician installs & maintains the large Cloud Computing Infrastructure in our DC. We are looking for skilled Data Center Support Technicians with a passion for technology to help us expand DC infrastructure operation to the next level. Hired Candidates need to work in Zhongwei city of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Problem solving, primary point of contact for all systems and network hardware problems
2. Maintain a high level of system reliability by prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently
3. Troubleshoot technical issues on various platforms ranging from systems to networking
4. Remediation of physical layer outages, hardware diagnostics, and replacement
5. Meet 24x7 shift and on-call requirements and response during shift rotations
6. Install server racks in line with internal SLAs
7. Data Center point of contact for all High Severity issues
8. Meet SLAs for our customer uptime
9. Interact with third-party vendors & contractors
10. Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency
11. Project Management, deliver small to mid-scale projects including Data Center rollout
12. Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and project status updates
13. Share knowledge with other technical staff on the best practices related to all service owner issues, Write and enhance technical and operational processes and procedures
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Relevant educational qualification majoring in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or Electronic Engineering, with passion about IT infrastructure and hardware, experience of Hardware replacement.
2. Deep understanding of Network operation/support experience: 1) Experience with Cisco Switch configuration & troubleshooting; 2) Copper cable termination; 3) Understanding of fiber optic cabling; 4) Good understanding of TCP/IP, L2 and L3 technologies - X86 Architecture, RAID Levels, SAN, SCSI.
3. Good written & verbal English communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Familiar with Linux operating system.
2. Experience of networking setup and configuration, server operation system level development, familiar with server hardware.
3. Experience of Data Center Operation.
