Senior Transport Planner
Location: Birmingham
Due to growth, my client is looking for a Senior Level Transport Planner to join their team in the Birmingham office.
The team has developed and grown to a wide range of projects and clients that cover a diverse set of schemes all across the UK, including Residential, Retail, and Education. This role will help manage the workload from the Bristol and Birmingham offices.
The Role:
You will be:
1. Working on and managing complex Transport Planning projects
2. Taking lead on the development and delivery of the projects
3. Promoting development sites from site identification/acquisition, plus planning applications, submission, and discharge of planning conditions
4. Working alongside the Transport Directors to deliver top-notch consultancy advice, liaising with clients to understand their requirements and effectively manage resources
5. Supporting and mentoring more junior staff while continuing to enhance your project management and commercial skills
Qualifications:
Ideally, you would have a firm understanding of Transport Planning policy and delivery of projects to clients. You will have a degree in a related subject and ideally a Master's degree in Transport.
Experience:
You would need to demonstrate:
1. Experience with Transport Statements, Assessments, and Travel Plans
2. Knowledge of Parking Strategies, Sustainable Transport, Section 278 and 106 agreements, and guidance such as NPPF
3. Use of the TRICS database
4. Working knowledge of PICADY and ARCADY, as well as an understanding of LINSIG
5. Experience in Transport Modelling and its applications
6. Junction design (Roundabout, Signals)
