Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term demand forecasts using historical data, sales trends, and market insights. Collaborate with the Marketing and Buying teams to incorporate promotional plans and product launches into forecasts. Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models as necessary Optimize inventory levels by balancing demand requirements with supply constraints. Identify and address potential stockouts or excess inventory situations. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse sales trends, seasonality patterns, and customer behaviour to improve forecasting accuracy. Create and present regular reports on demand forecasts, performance metrics, and inventory health to stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with supply chain to ensure optimal supply planning and vendor management. Align with the Logistics team to ensure fulfilment efficiency and service level targets are met Communicate with senior leadership to provide insights on demand trends and supply chain risks. Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, tools, and analytics to support business growth. Implement planning best practices and contribute to the development of planning systems. Essential Criteria: 3-5 years' experience in merchandising, supply planning, demand planning, forecasting, or business analytics. Strong analytical, aptitude for figure and problem solving. Knowledge and understanding of S&OP, purchasing, forecasting and inventory management. Proficiency in MS Excel. Optimally works with individuals and groups at all organization levels; capable of working independently and as part of a team. Organized and detail-oriented, experienced in building out successful processes. Self-motivated, self-starter and independent thinker. Highly commercial mindset, considering both the customer and business needs Previous experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
