As a Junior Appian Developer at Barclays, you will join the Risk, Finance and Treasury Technology Team where you will participate in the execution of a range of programmes and processes of key business significance. Specifically, you will support the design, implementation and maintenance of the Bank’s applications and analytic tools based on the Appian platform growing your knowledge of these tools and applications throughout your career journey with us. To be successful as a Junior Appian Developer, you should have experience in: ● Development in object-oriented programming, specifically JavaJ2EE or Python ● Working knowledge with SQL, query editing and performance tuning ● SDLC, including environment configuration, code deployment process and testing of enterprise applications ● Working on cross-functional teams building products using Agile methodologies Some other highly valued skills include: ● Some previous experience as an Appian Designer & Developer (preferred) ● Willingness to learn new programming skills, business processes and become a fully trained Appian Developer ● Working experience with Web Services and API integration You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in the role such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
