Consultant/Senior Landscape Architect
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £35-45k DOE
Working with one of the fastest growing multi-disciplinary consultancies in the United Kingdom with skill sets across Planning, Architecture, Archaeology and Heritage, Master planning, Urban Design and Arboriculture and Ecology, we have a need for a Consultant or Senior Landscape Architect.
The team currently consists of 2-3 Associate Directors (ADs) and is further developing a structure that includes landscape professionals at various levels as well as a dedicated CAD resource offering support across the team. This role can be at either Consultant or Senior level. As a Consultant, we would look for 2-3 years’ experience with the opportunity to progress and take on some interface management. For the Senior level, we seek someone relatively new to this position who can manage a team and directly support the ADs.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake site survey work.
2. Produce and/or oversee the production of reports, drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software.
3. Be client-facing and respond to client requirements with the support of senior staff.
4. Communicate clearly, contributing to conference calls, meetings, and workshops.
5. Provide guidance to teach and develop junior staff.
6. Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary design team.
Qualifications:
1. Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) with up to two years post-Chartership experience; candidates within the last quarter of Pathways to Chartership (P2C) will also be considered.
2. Fluency in English and effective communication skills.
3. Thorough knowledge of the UK legal and planning system regarding landscape architecture.
4. Competence in preparing LVIA/TVIA and appraisals to support development plans and policies.
5. Understanding of project management, including financial control and reporting.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
7. Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS or ProjectWise is useful.
8. Full UK driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Landscape Institute accredited bachelor’s degree, Diploma and/or master’s degree.
2. Recently qualified CMLI or within the last quarter of P2C.
