We're seeking a dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our team at HMP Forest Bank on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in maintaining and improving the infrastructure of the prison. You will ensure all decorating is carried out in a timely manner. Working within a prison means that your work directly contributes to the safety and operational efficiency of the facility, and therefore, a key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations.

Main Responsibilities
1. Carry out all reactive decorating and planned decorating projects as directed to ensure that operational support is provided to the establishment at all times.
2. Ensure that all works are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with good practice and current legislation.
3. Be familiar with and adhere to tool management procedures as laid down in the Local Security Strategy.
4. Undertake project work as directed by the Technical Facilities manager.
5. Supervise prisoner working parties, where applicable.
6. All work to be carried out to the relevant trade standards.
