Job overview
Are you a Band 6 midwife who has been qualified for over 2 years? Are you experienced in taking charge of a shift? If so, we are looking for enthusiastic midwives with a keen interest in antenatal and postnatal care, to join our core mixed antenatal and postnatal team.
Clinical experience in all aspects of midwifery care is a prerequisite, demonstrating credibility as a good role model. Excellent communication and support skills are paramount to the success of the role. It is a fantastic time to join us at DBTH; we have a supportive and compassionate team, who are committed to the development, innovation, safety and quality of our services and the experience of our women, their families and our staff.
If you are ready for a new chapter in your Midwifery journey, we would welcome an application from you to take that next step at DBTH.
Main duties of the job
To provide the highest standard of midwifery care in conjunction with other disciplines for all women and birthing people attending Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals. The post holder will be autonomous in their practice and provide evidence based care following hospital and NMC guidelines.

At DBTH we have a comprehensive framework of behaviours that guide us in our daily working lives, these form the DBTH Way. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the values of We Care and now the DBTH Way builds upon these foundations, providing further clarity on what it means to embody these values in our everyday interactions.
As an organisation that supports flexible working, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
