A welcoming and vibrant tearoom/café is looking for a passionate and skilled Chef to join the team. This role involves preparing fresh, homemade meals and baked goods while ensuring high-quality food and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook a variety of brunch, lunch, and afternoon tea dishes to a high standard.
• Ensure food is presented attractively and meets portion and quality standards.
• Manage kitchen operations, including food prep, stock control, and ordering ingredients.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and food hygiene in line with food safety regulations.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in creating new menu items and seasonal specials.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Previous experience as a Chef, Cook, or Kitchen Assistant in a café, tearoom, or similar environment.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or higher)
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean working environment.
• Passion for fresh, homemade food and attention to detail in presentation.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a small team.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
