Job overview
We are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Support Worker - MV Ward 10 who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will assist the Registered Nurses in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. You will work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
Excellent communication skills are required as you will deal with both patients and relatives queries over the telephone and face to face on a daily basis.
You will receive a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of your basic salary, subject to a minimum payment of £4,552 and a maximum payment of £5,735 per annum pro rata.

Main duties of the job
1. Assist in the assessment of health care needs by undertaking assessment aspects that have been delegated by the registered practitioner and in completion of care documentation.
2. At the direction of the Registered Nurse, participate fully in the delivery of planned nursing care and undertake specific Trust approved enhanced clinical skills such as care of PICC lines relevant to ward/department, having undertaken appropriate training and assessment.
3. Assist the registered Nurse in the evaluation of care and completion of patient documents. Involve patients and carers/relatives in the delivery of care.
4. Provide reassurance support to patients and carers/family and also work collaboratively with others in the day unit to ensure that patients and carers needs are met. Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
