Job overview
We are looking to recruit Health Visitors within the East Team in North Yorkshire. This is for the Scarborough team, however East base can be discussed at interview.
The successful candidates will have a passion and commitment to health visiting, working to improve the lives of children and families in a transformative service and organisation.
The successful candidate will deliver North Yorkshire's blended model of service delivery. We offer face-to-face and virtual contacts to our families and offer the opportunity to work from a base or from home.

Main duties of the job
The Health Visiting role is to deliver the Healthy Child Programme as part of a team, planning, delivering and evaluating an efficient and cost-effective service for an identified population.
You will be delivering the National and Local Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social needs, working with partner agencies in a strategic, creative and holistic way, ensuring the best outcomes for children, young people, and families.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
We are an innovative team dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of the North Yorkshire population. The service has developed a blended approach to service delivery offering families face-to-face and virtual mandated contacts within a skill mix team.
The Health Visitors role is to prevent ill health and promote positive holistic healthcare for an identified population and community, taking responsibility for ensuring the physical and mental health needs of families, acting as an advocate for the client and community.
Health Visitors plan, organise, and deliver programmes of care in conjunction with the family and the multi-disciplinary team and undertake continuous ongoing assessment of children, young people, and families. They provide an evidence-based service to children, people, families, and communities in accordance with National and Local Policy initiatives.
You will need excellent communication skills and a passion for public health, alongside good organisational skills, flexibility to meet the needs of the service, and the ability to travel independently to meet service delivery as required.
There is a robust package of clinical and safeguarding supervision provided to all staff.

Qualifications
* First level registered nurse/midwife
* Specialist practitioner (Hons, B. Sc. Hons, Health Visiting/ Public Health Nursing or equivalent)
* Must have a driving licence and access to a vehicle to meet the service needs.
* Nurse prescriber.
* Recognised teaching qualification.
Experience
* Evidence of participating in a service development change.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
